  1. Brilliant video, very enjoyable, thank you.
I actually did 23andme a few years ago, and only got 3-4 cousin matches, I uploaded my Raw dna to my heritage and got closer matches and reached out to a few, two answered and turned out to be my second cousins and we sited out through who very quickly. My results came after about 7weeks , but my husbands took that long just to arrive at the lab, they refunded me the postage , but it was a painful wait and took around three months!
I’m now doing AncestryDNA and so far it’s been amazingly quick, very fast delivery to me and I send it around the 23 of April and it’s already at the extraction stage. (It’s the 11th may now)
I have to say I’ve done a fair few family tree sites, including friends-reunited, my heritage etc, but nothing compares to AncestryDNA, their family tree maker is fantastic and the hints have been so spot on, Even quite spooky at times, my personal family situation is very very complex and rather mind blowing and it seems to have coped and understood that in an unbelievable way!!
I can’t wait for my results!

  2. You could also upload to other sites like gedmatch or dnaland to get even more different estimates. You should be able to trace your people back to Europe and most countries did keep pretty decent records. You could find ancestors going back hundreds of years.
