Investigation Puts Ancestry DNA Kits To The Test Among Sets Of Triplets

Millions of people are purchasing and using home DNA kits to determine their ancestry. Inside Edition enlisted the help of two sets triplets and a set of quadruplets to investigate the accuracy of the at-home tests. Their ancestry should be absolutely identical since they all came from the same egg. Unfortunately, the reveal confused and disappointed the sisters because of the varied results. The set of quadruplets were almost identical and did not have the variations seen in the triplets.

  1. I took it! 5% British
    50% polish!!

  2. Probably because people spit less or more in the cup.

  3. honest Abe says:

The stronger traits of family from the past can't be split in half, but each one took certain traits from there past family members

  4. Wait aren’t they from different sperm tho

  5. CJ K says:

If two full siblings (not twins) did the test shouldn’t it also come back the same for them too

  6. MeWhoElse says:

it's thought environmental factors can trigger gene 'switches'. this test may prove the theory. perhaps the twins were born 100% identical, but with time the genes developed variations through environmental or chemical influences within their own autonomy.

  7. Well even if ur a twin you will still be unique

  8. Mutations and the environment that people grow up in can change results, but the results shouldn't be very different for identical twins, the one where the range is from around 50 to 70 is odd.

  9. DNA profiling is a Scam of Luciferian proportions

  10. 3:06 maybe she kiss her husband before spitting on the tube. This is just a guess

  11. listen, the older you get viruses and bacteria can mess up your dna. they’re not even that young, ok

  12. EndULiv 77 says:

It’s probably not exactly accurate it would be way more expensive

  13. Ritvario G says:

    Im 99,9 procent baltic

  14. Maybe it is because different variations of DNA is in each person (triples, quadruples)

  15. When she tore the package at 2:49 even the baby got scared. ??? aggressive tear. Lol

    Why only women??

  17. Ayo Bjof says:

  18. 2:45 the face of the woman on the left

  19. Sam mezni says:

They should do this but with the same person does 3 different tests from like the same website.

  20. But regardless, if you come from the same parents, shouldn't you have the exact same ancestry ?

  21. Ryan says:

    "Wow, we're so different!"
No, no, the test is wrong. Thank God for those Nebraskans redeeming my faith in blondes.

  22. You guys should buy 2 of the same set for one person and see if they come out the same

  23. $99 these people should be in jail.

  24. Most likely these tests could be wrong due to the fact that no tests exist could be exacr. There is possibility that parts of the genetic code be altered even if they came from the same egg, but more likely parts of the Genetic code for each person is expressed differently. This is my sorta hypothesis, my guess. I know that both parts of my family came from around Germany so many grandma is German and my Grandpa is American, then my Grammy and Grandfather is American, but have German ancestory. I am basically a mix of German, German-Swiss, and American.

  25. redcinos says:

Basically they're just saying that Mama ended up having a little Affair a long long time ago with some Italian dude

  26. Xi Xu says:

How much do the blondes charge for the night?

  27. Twins/triplets/quadruplets can have different fathers

  28. 4:22 “23 and Me said … a 50% confidence level, but if a customer chooses a higher level of confidence, the results would be more generic.” So is it 23 and Me or the journalist who doesn’t know what “generic” means?

  29. Jake 2005 says:

    49+46=100 quick maths confirmed

  30. Hazoish ? says:

Ancestry seems to be more accurate

  31. Sami Cat says:

This is just how the government gets more information about you. Fun isn't it??

  32. These people have no clue how DNA works.

  33. Always thought the twins or triplet thing would be hot but my god it would be kind of annoying

  34. Moral of the story is ancestry DNA is good, 23 and me/family tree dna=crap

  35. JJ's Life says:

Well if kids get 50/50 from mom and dad. Then going down the line will get smaller and smaller.
Kids including twins can inherit different things from parents gene wise.
You can't 100% say that EVERY single feature, blood group, dna from distant distant relatives from hundreds of years ago will all go down the line equally.

  36. I would say the three bottle blond bimbo tribe!!!! DNA!!!
