Filipino base in the U.S. From what I was told about my past is that my great grandfather is Italian. My grandma is 25%, which was prevalent with her features . I think that's why you see Mediterranean, west Mediterranean, Red Sea, west Mediterranean from the list above.

  6. Nathan Hu says:

Hope there's more break down about Southeast Asian genes

  7. Rubellite says:

I dislike how Filipino families never really talk about or embrace their Chinese blood. All they're interested in is their supposed Spanish blood. I'm ancestrally filipina, but my parents always told me that I was also part Chinese. They've always been quite open about it. My dad must have brought up European once in my life, and he said that I only probably had less than one percent. I got my 23andMe results and my prediction was 84% SE asian, 15% chinese, and 1% euro. I ended up getting 78.5% SE asian, 11.2% Chinese, 3.5% Broadly south asian, 1.6% broadly East Asian+Native American, 3.7% euro, 0.6% S Asian, 0.2% oceanian, and 0.6% unassigned. So I ended up being a bit more European than I expected, which was cool, but let's face it, I can't walk around acting like I'm a European person. So filipino families, if you've got Chinese blood, don't be afraid to tell your kids. Spanish blood is really cool, but just don't forget your Asian roots.

  8. Rubellite says:

Hey, I just got my test results back from 23andMe, and I'I ancestrally Filipina. I thought that the confidence region option was very cool, but I couldn't find it! Does it only appear in certain versions of the kit? (Nice video, by the way)

  9. dr2brain says:

Interesting video man. Just one question. If I want results from Dr. McDonald, will I have to email him my raw data?

  10. Hi dude! Nice vid, do you know where from the Iberian Peninsula your European component comes from? I'm filipino too but I did the Dodecad test K7b and the mixed population results say that my closest mixed deep ancestry estimation is "95.5% Lahu (Southeast Asian) + 4.5% Portuguese", distance is 1.77. Does this mean my Iberian heritage is from Portugal not Spain? The second closest distances are the same thing except Extremadura and Galicia Spain both at a distance of 1.81.

  11. I think "Light brown" is actually the best way to describe your skin.

  12. This is one of the better reviews for Filipino ancestry DNA tests, great video review! ? Is it correct to assume that if you want to know an in-depth European or African breakdown of your ethnicity best place is AncestryDNA, and for Asians 23andMe?

  13. Caleb S says:

I'm thinking of doing the test. Which company do you suppose is the most reliable and I should try? 🙂

  14. @Pansaana I am IJNAtago from Eastbound 88. Are you shazou? What were your results for Doug McDonald's test?

    I'm 80.3% (all Southern Han Chinese)+19.7% (all sub-regions) for a total of 100% E. Asian

  15. Blue Blaze says:

Hey, have you done DNALAND? If so, can I see your results? Thanks:)

  16. Yoo the camera review you did .. I have a camera just like this and it shows the purple line I don't know why , And it shows like camera lens is dirty when it's not !!!
