What a wonderful Webinar! I am a very longtime user of Legacy software – I started using them back around 2001 -2002. I think it was version 3 back then. Now I have version 9. Legacy is the best. I was a little unsure of this merge with My Heritage, when it was announced last year, but this webinar today has broken down my last concerns and I think Legacy and My Heritage together will go a long long way in terms of Genealogy and Digital records. I applied for one of those free DNA kits under the DNA quest. This was for my mother who was adopted and while I have been able to trace her biological mother whose name was on my mothers original birth certificate, the fathers name was NOT listed at all. I have recently done a DNA test (I used the competition, sorry) and my DNA ethnicity result came back with 3/4 British (which we all knew about) and 1/4 Eastern European, which is a huge surprise for us!! So if my mother wins one of these free dna kits under the DNA quest project, (Fingers crossed) then hopefully, we can find some East European matches. I am only sorry that I missed this live webinar when it first aired, but I am very glad to have seen it today – just 2-3 days later. Oh and I love the access to My Heritage records that I can get for my ancestors whenever I do use my Legacy software!! I think that connection is wonderful!! Geoff Rasmussen, you are the best host for any genealogical education series IMO, and I am glad that you are staying with Legacy. Now I am anxiously waiting on a result from the DNA quest to see if my application for a DNA kit for my mother was successful. Thanks again for a great webinar!!!
