  12. These ancestry or ethnicity dna tests are selling the modern day equivalent of selling a pet rock or snake oil.

There is nothing in one's dna that links them to where they were born. If there is nothing in your dna that links you to where you were born, then there is nothing in one's ancestors that links them to where they were supposedly from.

Another logical fallacy of these ancestry or ethnicity dna test, is that mental constructs can not be manifest or replicated in one's dna. Anyone beyond the age of two knows that language, culture, ethnicity, religion or life, has to be learned.

Another logical fallacy is that an individual is only made up of a few haplogroups, when the biological reproductive process is a geometric progression of the power of two, which meaning that going back only 20 generations, there were 1,048,576 contributors to one's dna. It is possible to go from specific to general but it is impossible to go from general to specific.

Another logical fallacy is that an haplogroup establishes any link to one's real identity. Because of biological reproductive process, each individual is a uniquely distinct individual where each generation losing access to half of the previous generation's dna, one is only genetically related to 254 other individuals which only goes back 7 generations.

The biological reproductive process is an evolutionary process, where no one has ever been the same or will ever be the same that can only be linked to one's actual progenitors, not some fictional mental construct.

  13. Wow that is amazing. Glad you were able to connect with your biological family.

  14. Waiting on my results at the moment from 23andme. I am guessing somewhere over 2.5% Neanderthal ancestry… my wife is guessing I'll get 100% Jackass.

  15. I am interested in your "trace regions". You have African genes.

  16. Another white guy who thinks being white is boring um can you not? I'm sorry the many amazing European cultures you're apart of are so boring for you what with their thousands of years of history that shaped the world and everything, it's unfortunate you're not 10% Eskimo or something wow so exotic a bunch of people who did nothing but fish for the last 50,000 years wow that sure would be something to brag about.

  17. If I was a woman who just gave birth there's no way in hell I'd let them take my baby out of my sight this baby swapping thing happens way too often I honestly think nurses do it just to screw with people.

  18. M26 says:

I hope my DNA shows some space alien DNA 😀 I am from Finland, and i think i do this test some day soon. I am pretty sure that i have German, Swedish and British too, because i have heard that my family is part of european royal families. But i believe my DNA is even more mixed.

  19. Rebecca B. says:

You should do 23 and Me to compare.

Also, subscribing because I like your face ?

  20. British are not all blue eyed and dark haired!! I have dark hair, now white and amber eyes…. you are a completely white ancestry with and added 1% East European which might be a bit of anything though still not black! So your family are 75% from the British Isles. The Scandinavian is probably the Vikings who invaded then settled in Britain!

  21. You are likely more British than average Briton nowadays.

  22. Tyler, your grandmother's story is shocking…wow. But glad she and the rest of the family were able to get some clarification.

And as someone who has worked with your peer group for many years (in university settings) I must tell you that your level of maturity and awareness is to be commended.

Your parents certainly did their homework raising you to be such a well-adjusted young person. And don't let the trolls that have attacked you here matter. They are their own punishment and the internet (YT) allows them the cover to say awful things to people they don't know and they can run-off back to the black holes they inhabit.

In any event, work hard to keep both feet on the ground and keep making your family proud of you…I wish you (and your grandmother) great lives of happiness and joy…

  23. Man what a crazy story ?

  24. Wow thats such an interesting story!

  25. Mike Green says:

Ur hairs not dark it's light brown

  26. They could really think they are Native American, but be a $5 Native American. You should look that up. There was a time ppl were paying $5 to be marked as NAs to be allowed in. Go research it… I think you'd be very surprised. That's also most likely the reason they thought they were NA.

  27. Mj Lasiter says:

I actually had that happen to me! When I had my second son they brought me the wrong baby. I said this isn't my son. Nurse was like yes it is. I unwrapped the baby and he had a different name band. Took them 30 min to find my son. All his tags were off. They did this twice! So I made the hospital do a DNA test.

  28. You look very english mate. You probably got ancestry from the original settlers centuries ago from plymouth, very interesting.
