23andMe: This is Lupus

Lupus is an autoimmune disease, which impacts an estimated 1.5 million American every year. In 2015, 23andMe launched a research study to better understand the genetics of lupus. Watch Mary Frances explain what it’s like to live with lupus and why she’s participating in the 23andMe research community. “You have to stay positive, and [that’s what] I choose,” says Mary Frances. www.23andme.com/lupusstudy

I understand were you are coming from. I too have Lupus and without a positive attitude you may not succeed. I was diagnosed back in 2008, and I had not heard of lupus until then. Now that I know what lupus is, I believe I've had it since I was a child. I'm really hoping that this study is still going, your review just came across on my facebook page, so I went ahead and ordered it to be a part of the study. I was adopted and have no clue what my background, plus 2yrs ago I lost my 25yr old son to an auto-immune disease and feel this study would be important not only for me, but for my other 2 boys and my grandkids. Now looking further into this study, I see that it was started last yr and soon to end. I have contacted 23andme to see if this study is still going and if I qualify. I wish you the very best and thank you for sharing your story. It's the one story that came across my facebook page.
